Our search of numerous major name sales containing 1867-68 grilled issues (Caspary, Lilly, Grunin, etc.) yielded only a couple that compare favorably, and we were quite surprised that several collections lacked even an average copy with gum.

imprint and plate no. 36 at bottom and imprint at top and left, natural
straight-edge at right, virtually all stamps appear Mint N.H., clear
and sharp grill impressions across the entire pane, fresh and bright color,
some natural gum skips, minor wrinkling and small internal tear affect
Position 1 of the pane, tiny tears and perf separations in selvage at
bottom, small foldover in bottom left selvage with some additional
perforations across the cornerREMARKABLY FRESH. A BEAUTIFUL AND EXTREMELY RARE COMPLETE PANE OF THE 3-CENT E GRILL. ONE OF ONLY TWO REPORTED PANES OF THIS ISSUE, WHICH CONTAINS ONE OF ONLY THREE RECORDED IMPRINT AND PLATE BLOCKS. A WONDERFUL ARTIFACT OF THE GRILLED ISSUES.
