Large margins, tied by "Paid/J.T.B." handstamp, "Boyd's City Express Post May 25 12" oval datestamp on cover to local street address, slightly soiled, otherwise Very Fine, the Boyd's "Social Stamp", with a color scheme created for invitations and polite correspondence, is extremely scarce on cover -- more so than Scott value would indicate	E. 400-500
	624	Boyd's City Express, New York N.Y., 2c Black on Green (20L10). Large margins, bright color, tied by "Paid/J.T.B." two-line handstamp on small cover to local street address, "Boyd's City Express Post, Jul. 10 9" oval datestamp, with enclosure, Extremely Fine	E. 100-150

	627	Boyd's City Express, New York N.Y., 2c Black on Olive Green (20L11). Ample margins to just touching, uncancelled, used on buff cover to Vallejo Cal. with 10c Green, Ty. III (15), large margins to clear at upper right, tied by "New-York Mar. 20, 1856" circular datestamp, ms. "Paid 10c" partly beneath 10c stamp, probably paid in cash to Boyd's messenger and then stamped at Boyd's office, with letter enclosure, edges worn and 2 in. opening tear at top, still a presentable and very rare combination -- although uncancelled, the 20L11 stamp is used exactly in the correct time period for the issue and the "Paid 10c" is indicative of local-post service, ex Abt (Image)	E. 500-750
	628	Boyd's City Express, New York N.Y., 2c Dull Orange on White (20L13). Ample margins to just touching, uncancelled, used on buff cover to Vallejo Cal. with 10c Green, Ty. III (15), torn into design, tied by "New York Sep. 5" Ocean Mail circular datestamp with integral grid, ms. "Paid 10c", same as previous lot, probably paid in cash to Boyd's messenger and then stamped at Boyd's office, with letter enclosure, edges worn and soiled, still Fine and very rare -- although again uncancelled, the 20L13 stamp is used exactly in the correct time period for the issue and the "Paid 10c" is indicative of local-post service, ex Abt (Image)	E. 500-750
