 (1c) Blue on Rose, Franklin
Carrier Reprint (LO3). Left sheet margin block of four with large part
of imprint, brownish gum, tiny nick in top margin, Very Fine, this comes
from the controversial Slater block and was at one time considered to be an
original Franklin Carrier issue, not the reprint -- still accompanied by
original 1918 A.P.A. certificate signed by Luff, Bartels and Klemann -- the
UV-lite test produces a green color that identifies the block as the second
reprint, a fascinating item for the student
