Positions 50-54/74-78, block of fifteen, unused (no gum), large margins on three sides, in at top left, usual faults including creases and thins (breaks thru paper at one spot), typical condition of the blocks from the only surviving sheet (see Penny Post, Jan. 1992, p. 9) (Image) E. 500-750
  1484 Squier & Co. City Letter Dispatch, St. Louis Mo., 1c Green, Imperforate, 1c Rose Brown, Brownish Purple, Rouletted (132L1-132L3). Six stamps, includes three used 132L1 with faults, faded 132L2 (unused?) and 132L3 one unused, one used and defective, scarce 540.00

Clear to ample margins, uncancelled, used with 3c Dull Red (26), trimmed perfs at left, tied by "Saint Louis Mo. Aug. 11, 1859" circular datestamp on buff cover to Louisville Ky., from the Lucas correspondence, which provided a large portion of the known Squier & Co. covers, letter enclosed, Very Fine (Image) E. 750-1,000

Mar. 29, 1860" circular datestamp on buff cover to Wheeling Va., small ink stain at bottom, part of backflap removed, still Very Fine, scarce tied combination usage during Jordan's ownership (Image) E. 1,000-1,500
